FLBA Training Day - Friday 30th June 2017

The Annual Training Day of the Northern Circuit Family Law Bar Association will take place on Friday 30th June 2017 at Doubletree by Hilton, Sir Thomas St, Liverpool L1 6BR.

The Training Day is open to all subscribing members of the Association, Barristers, Solicitors, members of the judiciary and others who receive this invitation.

The cost of the Training Day is
£40 for FLBA Members and £60 for non members. We have chosen a new central City centre location this year.

CPD points
available, refreshments and lunch included, this represents excellent value for money. The finalised programme will be circulated nearer the time but will include:

  • Impact of early trauma on childhood brain development – Dr Kate Ward
  • Therapeutic Parenting – Sue Egersdorff, Kate Cairns Associates

Bookings will be taken on a strictly first come - first served basis and we cannot confirm your book- ing until payment has been received..

The Venus Project - 3rd May 2017 at 1 pm - Liverpool Family Court

Step Together is a new programme delivered by Venus to support women and young women who have had one or more children removed from their care.

Step Together aims to do by providing individual support and therapy through a co-designed support plan enhanced by the additional services, some of the main areas of support are :

Sexual Health (contraception and education)
Support to access substance misuse services
Support to access parenting programmes
Domestic abuse support
Home management support
Access to centre activities (e.g. SHE Course)
Health support (e.g. Accessing GP and mental health services)
Money management, benefits and debt advice and support
